BackToIndia Talent is a reverse hiring marketplace built specifically for non-resident Indians (NRIs) who have decided to move back to India. Instead of candidates applying to jobs, verified Indian companies and recruiters discover talent here based on confirmed return timelines.
Why we exist
Returning to India after years abroad is one of the biggest career and life transitions a professional can make. Most job boards bury NRI profiles under thousands of local applicants, and most recruiters have no way to filter for who is genuinely returning vs. who is window-shopping. We built BackToIndia Talent to solve exactly that mismatch.
Who is behind BackToIndia
We are part of the wider BackToIndia.com family — a small, independent team of returning NRIs and India-based operators who have personally lived this transition. We also run visitor insurance for NRI families and have helped thousands of households plan their move.
How we keep quality (and privacy) high
- Every candidate verifies identity with LinkedIn (OIDC).
- Public profiles are anonymous — recruiters only see role, city, timeline, salary band, and intro. Full name, current company, email, and phone are only shared with recruiters you approve.
- Full name, current company, email, and phone stay private until the candidate accepts a recruiter's intro.
- Every recruiter signs in with LinkedIn on a work email — personal providers are blocked, new companies are reviewed manually.
- Recruiters cannot DM, email, or call candidates. They can only request an intro through the platform.
- Profiles must commit to a real return timeline (3, 6 or 12 months); unresponsive profiles are auto-paused so recruiters never waste their time.
Editorial principles
We do not sell profile rankings, we do not accept paid placement, and we do not share candidate data with any third party. Every recruiter sees the same listings in the same order. Our only job is to make introductions that lead to good outcomes — for the returning NRI and the hiring company.
